Help How to study embryology

well I'm a 1st year student and I want to start studying embryology this summer, so guys what do you think is best book for studying? longman medical embryology, kablan or high yield embryology?? plz I really need someone to help me how to organize my studying.

P.S: in my school they taught us only the general embryology not systems-based embryology, so do I need to study systems-based or should I only study general embryo with clinical correlates?

As a first year student, I would recommend start with kaplan videos & notes. then after that read HY/FA. That should be sufficient. later after starting anatomy, you may read it again once. thats enough!

I think as a first year student you should go for Langman's embryology....... first few chapters upto 3 weeks of development is written really well. Its a bit overwhelming for the development of system organs, kaplan lectures and HY are nice

I have the 2012 LN and they also match the 2010 videos,I think they regularly update the LN fixing small mistakes no big changes, maybe 1/2 sidenotes are added or changed here and there no big issue
