Help Extremely Difficult to start again

Guys I need a serious advice from any one who has been in similar situation. I am an IMG 2010 Graduate. Read for About 7 months for sTEP 1 from jan 2011-july 2011. Had to take my exam in August 2011. During that time I did Kaplan + Goljan + FA twice. Did offiline qbank and UW online random timed with 63% cumulative score.

Unfortunately wasn't able to take the exam in that time period .

Now I am restarting my prep for Step 1. Its a HELL of a difficult task to go through all of the stuff again seriously. I initially planned to read through goljan and Kaplan books then FA, UW and NBME ..

Started with Physiology but its really extremely tough to read all the stuff again. I haVe started physio but have not been able to finish it. Almost a week has passed. I remember all the concepts vaguely...

What Should I DO...What study plan to follow....Very confused, depressed and dejected...Have 3 months to the exam in October

...240+ASPIRANT....

Please hep me with a study plan guys.

Why are you finding it hard to go through all the stuff? It should actually be easier given that you've already familiarized yourself with it and can go much much quicker.

Grab the books and start. The hardest part is actually starting. Once you're in it (so long as you're not always sleepy- like me! ) it's easy to continue.

Then do the questions. Most likely you remember much more than you think you do. I'm pretty much at the same stage, but started reading in 2010 then I have major gaps in between my study time, I forget details but not the concepts. Upon reading something that I read once, even if I read it long ago, things start coming back.

Good luck.

hi Lara
i have been in kind of similar but even stupid situation.read for 7 months and when i was taking my test in two months from then, someone stole my bag with FA and some 1000 pages of notes from uworld n diff sources.i couldnt read for the next to months and then started again. So i would suggest to start systemic review this time just to make it little different and interesting.i tried to mix n match the subjects and it worked for me.i know ita a pain to start all over again but just imagine i had to buy books again n write the stuff and everytime i read something, i had some phtographic memory of the similar topic in my lost book which made the matter worse.so go ahead n do it and if you ever need any suggestion, you can email me at mahajankapil@hotmail.com. i would defiinitely suggest online uworld and also kaplan if possible.
