Hey guys, I wanted to post a bit of my experience to give back too this forum which was pretty helpful during my prep. I am an IMG starting clerkship clinical rotations now.
Studied for about 11 months, my foundations were very deficient so I had a lot of work to do. During the first 4 months I watched most of the kaplan videos except for pathology which I mostly did from questions and integrating Goljan audios and his rapid review book. The second 4 months(May-August) I was in my last semester of basic sciences so I mostly did questions and studied for my classes since I didn't really have time for much else. Last 3 months I focused on my weak areas according to the assessments for about 1.5 months, then for the last 1.5 months I did the most I could from DIT 2016.
Question banks used:
Kaplan, Uworld.
These were my last assessments:
NBME 15: 243 (November 20th)
NBME 18: 232 (December 4th)
NMBE 16: 240 (December 14th)
UWSA 2: 241 (December 19th)
Real deal: 243 (December 21st)
Good luck to all! Let me know if you have any questions
