I m in 2nd year med school ...n about to begin reading path ...i just bought robbins basic pathology ....i m not aware of robbins and cotran ' s pathological basis pf diseases .....i just used basic path so i cant give it back at shop ....so should i buy robbins & cotran'S pathological basis or not????
throw away robbins and do GOLJAN Along with Pathoma videos
First watch pathoma video(will help you understand pathology) and then read corresponding Goljan RR3Path ,finish this combo for your path and you wont regret it
I think you have to understand the subject right now then to prepare for any exam. Ya you can use pathoma or Kaplan or dr. Najeeb videos that can help u to understand subject properly but I will emphasize to stick to course book. Basic Robbins is good. Ya you can buy a goljian's rapid review and try to finish goljian's with ur course book but for now sticking to course book would be important. As u have to be doctor not just pass USMLE.
Everyone have different opinion but I think slow and efficient way is always key to success.
well i partially agree with with kool killer but i think Goljan it self is 600 pgs so if you understand each and every line during your second year and then try to retain it then you are all set for pathology(for med school and later step1) plus you are also going thru Pathoma which are 35 hrs video having all simple and basic patho for initial study which you can easily reinforce it with Goljan so my 2 cent advice would be to stick to this combo and give remaining time to other subjects
