Can you guess this reinforcement schedule?

A 10-year-old girl has not been doing her household chores. Her parents tell her that if she completes 18 of the 21 assigned tasks by the end of the week, she can choose a family activity for the weekend. Which of the following reinforcement schedules is being used with this child?

a) Continuous
b) Fixed-interval
c) Fixed-ratio
d) Variable-interval
e) Variable-ratio

Answer: It is a fixed ratio reinforcement, because the child gets rewarded everytime she completes a fixed number of tasks (i.e. 18).

A variable ratio is that the child get rewarded after completing irregular no. of tasks.

A fixed interval is fixed amount of time after which the child will get rewarded.

A variable interval is that the child gets rewarded at random time intervals.

Hope this helps.

sorry guys, I don't know why I omitted this question.

I don't have an access to the official explanation but judging by your replies everything is obvious
