Medicolegal and Ethics Doctor Patient Dating!

on doctors dating their patients, I remember Daugherty saying that you cannot date patients, and you should respond with never ,,, but in 100 cases case 73 Fisher says you cannot date now but you can in the future if you get another doctor.

so what do you think

If you have a patient that you really like and want to start dating then you should refer that patient to another doctor, once the patient is not officially under your care then it would be perfectly legal and ethical to date that person.

You must not have a private relation with a your patient for two years after they leave for another physician and you can not refer them and wait two years either. Must be them asking to be transfered and then two years must past. Daugherty
