A rapid test that is used to diagnose HSV infection is positive in HSV-infected patients 9 times more often than in non
-infected patients.
Which of the following expressions is used to derive this information?
0 A) True positives/ All positives
o B) True positives/True negatives
0 C) Sensitivity/Specificity
0 D) Sensitivity/{1 - Specificity)
0 E) Specificity/{1 - Sensitivity)

Am guessing they are asking for positive predictive value
so A

I don't even know what the other options are... where did u pick this Q from?

i guess its LIKELIHOOD POSITIVE RATIO......in this case answer D would be right...

D Sensitivity/(1 - Specificity)

The question is asking for the positive likelihood ratio, which is the likelihood that an individual with a positive test has the condition. It is calculated by dividing the true positive rate (sensitivity) by the false positive rate (1 - specificity).
