Unhappy Really disappointed

Hello guys, i hope you are having a nice sunday morning.

I have been studying for like one month and a half now and using the Kaplan videos and first aid 2012 for my preparation, i bought the Goljan rapid review pathology book recently and read the cell injury chapter only, i really like this book, i also bought recently the clinical microbiology made ridiculously simple book but haven't read it yet.

I just took the self assesment exam that comes with the first aid q&a book (it is in the book) and got a 153/336 (45%)

What is your opinion on this result? is it worth it to keep going? i am feeling really disappointed because i have spent at least 4 hours a day studying for the exam and i at least expected to pass since i have heard that the first aid Q&A book is a really easy source of questions.

Thank you very much for reading this post, i wish you have a really nice day and good luck on your studies.

So how you did those questions?
Only those topics which you read till now or whole step 1 topic.
If you did only those topics which you done with reading. Then just give them a quick glance. We all remember only 20% of thing when we read something for first time. Thats why people say Do more and more questions because they help to integrate your theoretical knowledge to applicable way.

And if you did whole step1 topics and got 45% thats good. Just keep on reading stuff and ya keep on doing questions.
I have 2 months to exams but some times with biochem and micro kinda topics i too score 45% and even less then that. I don't mean that you compare my results with yours. I am just telling step 1 is quite a tricky exam. So Just keep now preparing.
BEst of luck.
