Default Rejected step 1 application

My step 1 application was rejected bcz of name issue now i want to ask where does the money go after rejection? I thought they'll be saved in my ecfmg financial account but today when i checked my my bank account i found it has much more money than i thought? Is this the money i paid before for the exam?

is the extra money in your account exactly the amount you paid for the exam?
if you are not sure why not trace your account activity and see where the money came fromi doubt if they will refund u cos i had same problem and they did not refund mine instead i payed extra $10 after i cleared the discrepancies.
just trace the money or call them.

i am confused and i seriously need help. my extended eligiblity period is expiring on 31st of august. and i am unable to give exam in this period because of personal issues.i want to know that how early can i re apply for step1 and after how much time im gonna get scheduling permit. i want to give in oct btw
