Default correct answer

The answer is a) Abstraction

The mental status examination represents the physicianís attempt to systematically evaluate a patientís behavioral, emotional, and cognitive processes. Interpretation of a proverb requires the ability to engage in abstraction.

as for D - A patientís thought content is assessed throughout an interview, with special emphasis placed on questions regarding the presence or absence of obsessions, compulsions, psychotic thought processes, and suicidal and homicidal ideation.
