Default This man is most likely facing which stage of the life cycle?

A 30-year-old man is struggling with balancing the responsibilities associated with a full-time job while simultaneously deciding whether to marry his girlfriend of 7 years. Throughout his childhood and adolescence, he appeared to cope with the demands of development appropriately. According to Erikson, this man is most likely facing which of the following stages of the life cycle?

a) Autonomy vs. shame and doubt
b) Generativity vs. stagnation
c) Industry vs. inferiority
d) Intimacy vs. isolation
e) Trust vs. mistrust

Just ruled out other options and left with this.
As seems he want his life to be stagnate. Don't want the changes of full time work and marital status.

Default correct answer

The answer is d) Intimacy vs. isolation

The major task of early adulthood (ages 20 to 40 years) is the development of an intimate relationship. This occurs during the stage Erikson termed intimacy versus isolation. A 30-year-old man who is struggling with the responsibilities of adulthood, but who appeared to cope with developmental demands of childhood and adolescence, is in the intimacy versus isolation stage.

As for B - During middle adulthood (ages 40 to 65 years), an individual attempts to maintain a sense of productivity. This is the stage Erikson termed generativity versus stagnation. Individuals who do not feel productive during this phase suffer a sense of emptiness and a lack of meaning in their lives. A sense of productivity is often achieved through a career or through child-rearing responsibilities.
