Post digitalis action.....

q) digoxin is cardiac glycoside which increases cardiac contractility..which of the following intracellular ion concentration increases due to digitalis direct result ?
a)chloride
b) potassium
c) bicarbonate
d) sodium
e) calcium

Default Increase in sodium

digoxin inhibit Na+-K+ ATPase pump
So Intracellular Na+ increase
then Na+/Ca2+ exchange decreases
which leads to increase in Intracellular Ca2+-----> leads to increase in contractile action.

yes, D : sodium is correct potassium increase outside the cell and sodium increases inside the cell...
