the correct answer is C) virus that cause hand foot mouth disease( coxsackie virus)...
pleconaril is an anti viral drug used for picornaviridae......which uncoats viral capsid antigen and leading to decreased attachment of virus to host cell..
-----source kaplan micro text

nowadays it is also used for asthma exacerbations...

picornaviridae includes enterovirus..[rhinovirus,poliovirus,coxsackie virus( cause herpangina),echovirus(cause aseptic meningitis) and HAV]

Yellow fever
Pink eye is caused by Adenovirus... not rhinovirus (runny nose), and also don't forget adenovirus can also cause pink urine (acute hemorrhagic cystitis), urine is not really pink but i memorized it that way. .

I remember reading in first aid that "amintadine" is also an uncoating (M2 protien) drug. So is this drug similar to amintadine.
If yes, then as influenza has mutated there M2 protein, amantadine is not much of use. Now a days. So Is this drug also work on M2 protein or any other caspid protein?
If it is not from same amintadine family then can you use this drug for uncoating of Influenza A.
I know my ques is not much precise. Just trying to ask your point of view.

no, their mechanisms are different
amantadine binds to M2 protein and prevents uncoating /viral penetration into host cells....
pleconaril uncoats and prevents expose of viral RNA prior to replication,so that it cannot attach to the host cell....

and amantadine has other function too, it releases dopamine into nerve terminals....so, used in parkinson's
