Default Don't sweat kaplan?? / usmle consult...

Hi Guyz,
Ok first of all i plead guilty for being one of those peeps who's greedy for an awesome score on step 1 (aiming for >250) having said that ...
I'm done with usmleworld and usmlerx with my exam december"ish" so apparently i still have more time to chip in at least one more Qbank.
Was considering Kaplan but i get a lot of feedback from peeps advising not to sweat kaplan cuz it has a lot of irrelevant questions not usmle"type" and it's overkill..
Another option for me is Usmleconsult, but then again i hear its ERROR filled.
never posted about this on this forum, i need you guyz' take on this issue which should i subscribe to
p:s also heard about a Robbins rapid review qbank as well, where can i find that?

I am doing Kaplan Qbank with my second read of Kaplan and others...Today I almost cried cos of the very confusing questions of Kaplan Qbank...I have not done Uworld yet.But have done a couple of block in offline Uworld.

I am done with Kaplan Qbank for all except Micro,Immuno and Physio... My exam is on Dec 20. I just signed up for Uworld but haven't bought yet...Hopefully I will start the 3 months subscription cos Kaplan is killing me and when I dont get answers right, it lets u down.So ONLY if you have extra time ,go for Kaplan.Or try their free 4 blocks before going for it.

OR why don't you just go over UWorld again and then again over the questions you got wrong?

Can you plz tell me how was ur experience with U World? what was ur overall percentage and did u do it online ?

Thanks

All the best.

Did it online at first was averaging 50's but this was long ago ago b4 i started real prep then got fed up frustrated and then started using it as a learning tool while doing RX Online.. i'll sure redo it online again and again but was thinking about adding another qbank. all the answers or atleast most of the answers and explanations are in my head so i feel if i do UW again alone i wont meet new challenges if not adding another q bank. + i want to get max no of questions done b4 the dday;......haven't taken any nbme's yet though will take one on the 3rd and then decide... Thanks for the hint

A lot of people say that Kaplan Qbank has a lot of irrelevant stuff...Don't know cos have not done UWorld or NBME yet? I would say again try their free 4 blocks and then decide if you wanna do it.I know of a member...she did VERY WELL on step 1 and she said that if you have extra time ,do Kaplan Qbank, otherwise stay away from it ,or have a hard glass computer so that it doesn't break when u bang it with your head.lolz

Believe me today I almost thought to quit USMLEs.

I am starting UWorld, today or may be in a couple of days.

By the way how did you find Rx?

RX is a good Q bank i must say a lot of concepts tested are similar to UW but a bit easier but overall it has more Q's than UW, + their question are a bit lengthier than in UW. It also helps u memorise ur FA bcoZ most of the explanations for their answers has an FA page attached to it. but not all. I'll recommend it for anyone as a supplemetary Qbank.

OK.....So i've decided to sweat kaplan, reason being that i don't want to regret having not done all that i can possibly do b4 giving step one, + i figured a lot of s**t not tested in other Qbanks are tested in kaplan .... so i'll try as much as possible to fast track it to the very last Q and keep it all in my head. Who knows most of the WTF q'S i may meet may have come from kaplan. usmleconsult as pple say it's error filled then it's too risky 4 me
