Post bullimia nervosa

Q) a 18 yr old girl is presented to the physician by her roommate about vomiting after her every meal..pt. reports that she started binging and purging in high school.she seems to want help. lab analysis---potassium level is 3.3 mEq/l,cl- level is 94...and BUN is 22 mg/dl..which of the following medication is contraindicated to her condition..?
a) fluoxetine
b)trazodone
c) chlorpromazine
d) venlafaxine
e) bupropion
f) clomipramine

yes , as @ debs said the correct answer is E) BUPROPION

bupropion is atypical antidepressant used for smoking cessation...it inhibit NE and dopamine reuptake......s/e is headache,insomnia, lowers seizure threshold ( most commonly in bullimics)....
the pt. is suffering from bullimia nervosa....treatment for bullimia is SSRIs...so fluoxetine could be given....seeing her ellectrolyte imbalance ,she has greater propensity to get seizures when bupropion is given....so it is contraindicated......
