Default ya Sublimation

but i was thinking
If he is writing Dairy for hours and writing all his daily activity inside it. So can we consider projecting external world into dairy as Introjection or Identification.

So my bet sublimation (65%) and Introjection (34%) and other options (1%)

we would be dealing with introjection (identification) if this girl started wearing her mom's jacket etc.
my bet on sublimation 100%

I 'll go with Sublimation

Introjection/identification, if even his mom used to write a dairy..

Hahaha. Got your point. However don't agree with rookie explanation. Rookie can you elaborate a bit. Thanks.

I meant if the boy starts writing dairy like his mother used to.. Identifying with his dead mother

yes, the correct answer is E) SUBLIMATION

Exclusion method-----A,C,D can be easily excluded

rationalization----is offering of a false, but acceptable explanation of behavior
ex----a person failed in interview, convinces his friends as interview was fine but the job isn't needed anymore..

projection------occurs when someone attributes their own thoughts to a different person...
ex------a wife complaints her husband abuses her when actual she abuses him.

acting out-------performing extreme behavior inorder to express thoughts or feelings the person feels incapable of expressing in other ways..
ex------a boy shows tantrums when he feels his brother being loved much than him by parents

this leaves two options......

sublimation ----is diversion of unacceptable impulses into more acceptable ones(writing diary).....freud also states that it is the safest and healthiest defense mechanism.....
ex----a mother whose child died with a noble cause deals with national organization designed to help families with this disease.

identification( a less intense form of introjection)-------is adoption of charectaristics or activities of other persons
ex----- without being aware that he is copying his teacher, a resident physician assumes a similar mode of dress and manner with patients.

Sublimation: After Mother's death he starts writing diary for hours daily

Projection: he said: after mother's death his dad started feeling lonely.

Identification: After mothers death he start writing mother's dairy.

Acting out: After mother's death he destroy's all photos of his mother.

Rationalization: He said: My mother died but may be god need her more then me.

I am just trying to make every possibility to remember these defense mechanism more precisely. If i am wrong in any or there can me another situation more related to original sentence. Plz share

all examples are good except for one:

"After mother's death he destroys all photos of his mother." - that would be more like reaction formation

better example for acting out would be: he misses his mom (a void) so he starts taking drugs (he's trying to fill in this void with something)
