GIT Which nerve must be severed?

Q--A 52-y-o man with an esophageal tumor near the GE junction is scheduled for a total esophagectomy including anastomosis of the stomach to the lower pharynx.
During this procedure, which of the following nerves must be severed?

A) Left recurrent laryngeal
B) Phrenic
C) Right recurrent laryngeal
D) Superior laryngeal
E) Thoracic splanchnic
F) Vagus
