Question

@ rookie-----yes, passive aggression is the right answer

@ blade----humor can't be coz----if he would post a joke instead of answering it, satirically it can be humor...
anyways..thanks for answering both of you

now let's elaborate it,regarding the same above question.......
Q) if the member "report abuse" instead of answering..then what is it's defense mechanism...?

@same above options

Correct Answer

again, the right one here is passive aggression----passive aggression is indirectly expressing aggression(as the member is an active member----whether he unanswer or report abuses..his indirect aggression towards the question is seen)...

rationalization----developing socially acceptable explanation for something guilt done..often used to protect ego......for example---here if the member discusses with other member for not being answered as it was the easy one..

acting out----it's defense mechanism to reduce anxiety/to cover up unacceptable emotions..often usually expressed with physical symptoms like throwing tantrums, punching the wall for seeking attention...often emotions are covered up..here..if the person report abuse and again answer to the post

suppression-------if the member waits to post until all the other posts be posted

undoing------it the member after report abuse, covers it by complementing him for the question...

humor----as discussed earlier...doing in comical way in serious situations

intellectualization----after feeling it as easy ,he answers it in more descriptive way with explanation

projection--------watching this post he thinks everyone in the forum feels it as easy.....

isolation of affect------not showing any feelings to the post and answering it...

reaction formation
------though he feels easy to answer, he answers it and comments it as "took really tough time to answer it....thank you"

i may be wrong with the second answer...i would choose passive aggression....if any one feels it as wrong..please do correct me..

@blade...i'm bad at behr.science too...i think practicing it again and again can master it......
thank you..
