Unhappy Unable to decide if ready for the test

actually, feel your post is one of the most inspiring post, as i almost stand in the same position as yours. i have already graduated from med school, but I think my basic science knowledge database is quite weak. tell you the truth, I have already done Kap videos, read the books, but still haven't even paid the fees for Step1. i feel scared! seriously, very scared about the outcome and I don't know how tom make myself feel confident enough to apply for the test. I feel I am not ready, but thats every time, the same feeling. don't know what to do.
May be need some guidance. I plan to take the test next year in January, but yet not confirmed.
Hope someone can really help me decied and make me feel a lil bit confident

So fear is our enemy here buddy.

if you are done with KLN-s you should have a general view of what is going on. the best way now is to begin second read (obviously faster than first) along with question bank ( preferentially uw). Also annotate kaplan & uwin your Fa.So that in last month(s) of prep you only use FA. believe me it's very helpfull to use only one book in last preexam days.

it's true that this exam is scaring cr*p out of us, but we have to take it.
Make a shedule, do ecfmg registration and choose 3 months eligibilty period.
this will make you more efficient.

Default hi dhruv every IMG will have that feeling

Did u do uworld. To become confident and see where you are do one NBME. See the weak areas in report and concentrate on them. NBME exams are there guide your course of study. Don't think like NBME are just one week before main exam. All the best you can do it.

take an NBME asap !! most of us suffer from lack of confidence, there is no point in prolonging ur prep without knowing where u stand.. there is no guarantee that ur performance will improve by increasing prep time for months .. as u learn new things u forget older ones, dragging ur prep is a bad idea ..plz take an nbme or uwsa if u want ur confidence to b boosted.. u have graduated from med school, that means u r as good as any of the step1 takers.. we dont feel confident after med school as some of us really lack knowledge in the basic sciences but that doesnt mean u cat improve now ur prep seems adequate u must be ready now chek where u stand , do uworld uworld n uworld!!! you will get a grt score..

good luck
