MCC of congenital upper limb deformity is:

A) Polydactily;
B) Sindactily;
C) Constriction band syndrome;
D) Phocomielia;
E) Macrodactily.

The correct answer is B) Syndactily. You can check the information in Cardiology-Patology section in UW Q Bank.

C) Constriction band syndrome is the second most common cause.

thanks for the question and answer...but how come 2nd most common cause is constriction band syndrome(seen in 1 in 1200 live births)...while compared to polydactyly(1 in 500 live births)-------source--wikipedia

i answered polydactyly coz i saw many of them in my real life
anyways thanks for the question again.....now should remember syndactyly as the common one

Yes, venky 2600 I think you are right regarding polydactily being on the second place. I looked on medscape:

Anyways, syndactyly is the most common upper limb deformity and I don't think they will ask what is the second or the third.
