Liver Bleeding varices with normal liver biopsy

A 46 yr old female comes with large volume hematemesis, on examination tip of spleen palpable. endoscope reveals bleeding oesophageal varices and liver biopsy shows no abnormality.

diagnosis
a) hepatic vein thrombosis
b) portal vein thrombosis
c) constrictive pericarditis
d) paracetamol toxicity

according to u world it says that since portal vein lies distal to liver parenchyma portal vein thrombosis causing portal Hypertension will not cause any change in hepatic parenchyma...

b-No varices as oesophageal veins will not have back pressure
c-back pressure on the hepatic v not portal v
d-causes hepatic damage

My answer was wrong .It is portal vein .Some confusion with anatomy
