[QUOTE=venky2600;154163]which of the following bacterial growth (agars, stains, tests or mediums) are incorrectly matched ?......(no species specification..)

choose multiple options

a) EMB agar-----shigella - incorrect, because Shigella is not lactose fermenting

b) wagatsuma agar-----vibrio -

c) hoekten agar-----proteus - I think it is Hektoen, special medium for Salmonella and Shigella

d) tellurite agar-----corynebacterium - correct

e) regan lowe medium------bordetella

f) eaton agar------mycoplasma - correct, cholesterol medium

g) dieterle stain-----leptospira -

h) naeglar reaction-----clostridium

i) chocolate blood agar----neisseria - wrong, cause it should be Thayer Martin

j) giemsa----chlamydia - correct

k) quellung reaction----klebsiella - correct, cause it has capsule

l) auramine rhodamine stain----mycobacterium - correct, this is a preliminary microscopy staining for acid fast bacteria

m) indian ink-----listeria -

n) TCBS agar----salmonella - incorrect
