Help Lab Techniques & bacterial genetics ??

What can I do to improve these areas. I know its all that high yield. But I want to get everything.
Whenever I see this type of question i freak out in my head spend 3 to 4 mins on it and still get it wrong. I'm pretty clueless when it comes to this information.
Any advise you guys might have to help me retain this??
