Help Caribbean Medical Student Study Plan!

Hi guys!

I am new to the forum; well I have been lurking for weeks and finally joined recently! You guys have really put out some good advice . I am a Caribbean medical student now, at what some would consider a not so good Caribbean school (Not one of the big 4 ).
I am almost done with my basic sciences but my Step 1 studying has already begun. Throughout my basic sciences I have used Kaplan videos, FA, BRS, and other supplemental books for understanding, but I still feel like my basic sciences are really week. I have purchased the Kaplan books. What I plan to do over Christmas break is start over with KLN and videos; I want to get through Kaplan with videos at less 3 times.
I would like to start Kaplan Qbank during my third time with Kaplan to begin getting used to the question material, while annotating FA. I plan on this period taking my anywhere from 3-4 months. I want to read first aid front to back after the KLN+videos are fully complete. This period should end before I begin my 5th USMLE review semester back in the states.

PLEASE, PLEASE:sorry:, any advice would be great and beneficial. I am pretty good and organized at making schedules and sticking to them, I just need to make sure I am doing the right things and that my plan is beneficial!

Please any feedback would be great!

Thank you all in advance!!

" I am pretty good and organized at making schedules and sticking to them "This great

Once you get the frame "the general concept" from kaplan no need to enter the endless cycle of memorization of it's huge details
you should then attach firmly to First Aid "cover it in and out"

for me the first aid is weak in biochemistry but lionel lectures is great

most of the exam taker state confidently that FA+UW is more than enough in Anatomy and Micro+immuno

for me the most rewarding step in preparation for the exam is QUESTION Banks

study as much questions as you can

of course from the least difficult "UsmleRx for example"
then kaplan , and lastly the golden QBank "UW"

wish you the best
Don't forget to have short but rich notes
