Question How to Read Score Bars ?

Hello Friends,

Please Help me in reading these score bars.
like some bars are starting and finishing under lower
some are starting under lower and finishing under border or higher
some are starting and finishing under higher
and that tiny bar front of pathology

How do you read these score lines??

The bars are used to compare your performance to that of others. If your bar crosses left of the borderline performance, then it means that you got some questions wrong that generally people get right. So most people recommend that after you take an assessment, focus on the subjects in which your bar is left of the borderline performance. But sometimes its weird, I agree. The bar spans the whole entire area, like going from high performance to low performance. For something like that, I would still consider that subject my weakness, and I would review it heavily like all the other subjects that have bar that is left of the borderline performance.

Basically, don't get too distracted by this bar system. Just know that if your bar is to the right, you are doing good in that subject, if not, then you need to work on it. Have a goal of getting all the bars to the right, and you will get a good score on the exam. Hope this helps...

Edit: Oh and from my experience, the bar layout that is given by UWSA is weird. The one given by NBME 'seems' more legit. Not that it matters, but just throwing it out there.
