Default How to read an MRI during questions?

I was going over questions and some of the MRI ones really confuse me. I know for a transverse MRI image, the top is Anterior, the bottom is Posterior, my right corresponds to the left side of the MRI, and my left corresponds to the right side of the MRI.

What really confuses me are some of the frontal plane images. For example, when looking at a frontal MRI image of the knee in a question, how do you tell which side is medial and which is lateral? I'm referring to the question that asks you which ligament is attached at the demarcated point.

I guess that was a silly question, I didn't really notice the fibula in the MRI image of the knee joint, so I guess I can answer my own question and say that you can tell which side is medial/lateral by looking at the adjacent structures.
