Eye Visual Pathway; Memorize or Learn!

Do you actually think about the nerve tracts in your mind, and then figure out the visual defects depending on the site of injury?

Or do you automatically have the visual defects for all the locations already mapped out in your mind, so that you can answer very fast?

Just wondering how everyone prefers to learn/review. Is this straight recall for you, or do you like to understand the lesions by constantly thinking about the Optic nerves/tracts?

draw them out on a piece of paper...it helps with understanding. memorization isn't gonna get you very far when it comes to these kind of questions.

i dont agree with you. concepts are fine but when you know you must solve question in 1 min in exam , then i think cramming pays off more. i think best is to understand and then cram. thoughts ?
