Can any one of u please tell me The organisms causing Meningitis....
especially Neonatal menigitis..

Acc to Goljan:

Newborn: group B strept; e coli
1 month- 2 yrs: strept pneumonia ( in hib vaccinated)
2 yrs - 18 yrs: N. meningitidis
> 18 yrs: strept pneumonia

(In immunicompromised always exclude fungal causes..)
