Default Application for step 1

Hello everyone!

I am in need of urgent help.
I have some doubts regarding the application process,so I need your valuable advice.I basicaly have 3 questions.

1.How much amount has to be paid for applying for Step 1 in India? The ECFMG website says 790$ with 140$ of international test delivery surcharge(930$ in total) .Apart from this,do we need to pay the 50$ for ECFMG certification too?

Can someone from India who has applied for step 1 recently please help me in answering this?

2.If someone had already received an ecfmg identification number and password a year ago,but due to some reason could not fill the form, will he have to use the same ecfmg identification number and password if he wants to apply now?

3,Now as this is a holiday season in US,how much time will it approximately take for the step 1 application to get processed and know the exact date of the test?

Please advice.Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Hey there,

I'll answer your questions in the order you asked them

1) Yes you have to pay $930
Are you a graduate? Have you taken any steps before? I think you have to give Step 1, and the both parts of Step 2 before you apply for ECFMG registration, but I'm not sure about this. I registered for my exam this year and paid only $930

2) You mean username and password? Yup, same.

3) Well, I don't know exactly how long it'll take right now, but it took my form 186 3 weeks to get accepted in April. It'll probably take just as long, if not longer right now
