are you planning to do a second revision of kaplan? i cant decide if it is required. cuz i certainly dont remember it. but will first aid suffice instead?

well everyone has the problem remembering stuff ...but i feel that giving second read to kaplan notes is a must and even a third read for weak subjects ...once we r done with concepts in kapaln notes we can go a head and do FA because i think FA has flash cards which will help us revise things that we already know ..this is wat i feel ..but individuals differ

hmm...true. i'm thinking we can do them both alongside. so we will know from first aid, which things require more attention and just go thru those again from kaplan. i dunno...well thats for next month.
how many hrs do you manage studying daily?

i've only seen people mentioning those books here in this forum. everyone who i know personally, got real good scores without any extra books besides kaplan, goljan and FA. i'm going to stick to just those too, dont have the time for more, and besides it'll just be more confusing i think.

same here...always aim for 8-10hrs min daily, but fall short. my case is really haphazard. some days i do manage that, but most its 5-6, and even 3hrs, and some days i just dont get around to studying at all! so the main concern for me right now is to establish a definitive schedule, and not allow distractions. which is also why i joined this forum.

yeah sure thats what i'm in for.
how about we think of topics most difficult to us, and then discuss and remember it better?
study plan can be a l'll difficult to coordinate. cuz we're probably in diffferent subjects and stages. so best we can do is review the high yield difficult items. what say?

Hi,
I am taking the exam on 24th of march 2013

I finished microbiolgy MRS, kaplan for biochem and genetics, one third of brs patho, one third of brs physio, one third of kaplan pharma, and the whole book high yeild for immuno

and some pages of FA

after that I felt I got nothing

so I decided to do a new studying plan, And I started 2 weeks ago, the plan is very good and I am getting a high quality from my studying

my plan is to watch kaplan videos about each subject then study each subject from kaplan (or brs or high yeild) then read the same subject from FA then solve questions from the same subject from USMLE world, in that way i will master each subject perfectly

now Iwatched videos for anatomy and histo and read them from kaplan and FA i will watch videos for embryo and sudy it from kaplan and FA then I will watch videos for neuroanatomy then study it from High yeild ( I heard it is better than kaplan for neuroanatomy) then I will solve usmle world for anatomy, embryo, histo and neuro anatomy

then i will do the same for physio then iwill do the same for patho till I end all subjects
after that i will read fa again and do usmle wolrd agian

im planing to do 3 nmbe tests through the three months

I know this plan needs a lot of time

but i will not be going to work for the next three months which means i am totally free for studying

what do you think of all of that
