Well today managed about four hours of study
Done with nucleus Acid structure and DNA replication.

But as per plan have 2 more topics to finish today.
Will compensate tat tomorrow along with the day's topics.

Today lagging two topics cause of sudden shopping plan from my family. But could have sill done it if I didn't have taken planned relaxation early in the day!!

So Tomo I am leaving my study room only when some need arises from the family and that is when I take rest....

I get what I work for than what I wish for..

Hello my journal,
I am feeling better now about my preparation, coz all these days if I even couldn't complete the topic of the hour I would panic and would go way into the future and think wat if same thing happens with the qbank and FA and u world and it messes up my study. I will not be in the mood to study. It's really hard to describe about my feeling. But then now I slowly getting Over it and Dr. Laura, the one with YouTube videos of her prep is really a inspirational person and I watch her videos and get super motivated.

So I am happy with my prep and I am moving on

For now I have done with molecular biology and some questions from lippincott and kaplan lecture notes.

I know it's slow and small portion done but yeah I am Gona start a new day tomorrow.

I get what I work for than what I wish for..

Hi neesh,

Actually I had spent 4 days without studyn coz I was lazy,

My plan was also to finish micro by jan but couldn't . But didn't stop. I kept going tried as much pushed myself to at least finish biochem. So I am not good enough to give advice..

I never read the notes I just listened to the videos with my Kaplan notes in front and learnt as I watched.

I just concentrated on all the flow charts and diagrams in the notes when i was watching the videos and wrote whatever they stress on around the diagram or flow chart page.

And tat is how they teach too.
So it's easy to revise later as all high yield points will be in jus one page.

I didn't read word by word of Kaplan. So may be coz of that I could have finished it.

This is how it worked for me.
Hope it helps.

So basically i had spent the last month with on n off prep for step 1.. but i tried to study everyday, even if it was 2 hrs or 8 hrs, so till now my stats :

Biochemistry , genetics, molecular biology- did 1 round of kaplan videos, few of them revised in first aid while solving problems from back of each chapter of kaplan.

IMmunology: 1 round of kaplan videos along with kaplan notes and first aid.

Behavioral science: did 10 chapters of kln with kap videos and first aid, left last 5 chapters to do when i want a break from other subjects.

Physiology: done with all chapters of kln with kap videos except endocrine. Planning to do it tomo and day aftr.

Rest of the subs are pharm, micro and path, and anatomy i am really so resistant to this subject, i read it and close it in like 10 mins, dono wen i vl get the energy and interest in this sub.

I had planned to do various subs in a particular order but i never followed them, the plan just gives me a idea of where i am, but if i didnt feel like reading a sub i skip and do some other sub. It wont give a problem if v keep a track of wat v have done and wat is left, i guess.

I am left with overall 150 hours of videos which will take 30 days, so may be i can finish by this month end or by the 1 st week of april.

For past 3 or 4 days, i have been doin only 5 hrs of videos and then revising that topic in first aid and kln simultaneously, which i feel is better and useful.

For path, not kap videos, instead pathoma which is 35 hrs, i included tat in overall 150 hrs i said before,

I did kaplan online trial qbank at times on topics i am done and i cant wait to start qbanks, because i find myself learning better with my wrong answers ....

So hoping to finish my first read as soon as possible, and start qbank with first aid by april 1st or 2nd week.

Planning to give my exam in june end, god willing!!!! :sorry:

Default My Plan

Okay, SO I am going to join in as well.
I am planning to go thru everything in the 2 months of March and April. Well I have gone thru kaplan once and FA twice last year but then I stopped studying so this is not the first time for me.
Since, I am getting back to studying, it is a little hard managing time and staying on top of things.
My materials include FA 2013, kaplan lecture notes + videos 2010, Goljan audios for path and DIT here and there if I feel the need to.
I don't think, I will get uworld untill later when I am thru reviewing everything atleast one time.
What do you guys think ?
Also, intend to take the exam by July-August
