fillin with saline eliminates air fluid interface resulting in elimination of surface tension ; therefore inc. compliance

I would say saline will wash out surfactant that decreases compliance

if the lungs are filled with saline, the compliance is increased. Saline filling causes the removal of air-liquid interface resulting in lack of surface tension. The saline filled lungs require less pressure to achieve the same volume compared to air-filled lungs making the saline filled lungs compliance 3 times greater than that of air filled lungs. Therefore in saline filled lungs you will see decreased surface tension, but increased compliance.

Default compliance of saline filled lung

yes... compliance of saline filled lung increases,, as air water interface decreases and surface tension decreases which is one factor responsible for elasticity nd recoil.. nd compliance is inversely related to elasticity/recoil.
