Kidney Renal Tubular Acidosis in Simple Words

Can someone explain renal tubular acidosis in a simple way..Esp why there is hypokalemia in type 1 and 2 and how is plasma PH altered..?

Hyposmolarity--- water flows from ECF to ICF---so, K relatively more in ECF--- K diffused to ICFbacause of osmotic gradient--Hypokalemia.. ( Its written in BRS physio 4th Edition page167).. Hope that helps..
