I say just have a general idea about it...like if scenario given for Achondroplasia, and there is a pedigree, you're gonna have to pick Autosomal Dominant. Same for Marfan's. I think if you go over that list many times, you will spot a AD disease when you see one. I made up FAHN MTV as the mnemonic but have barely used it.

just go through them several times
until u find a connection between the diseases that are autosomal recessive or dominant which will help u remember them
that is how i did it....gl
