USMLEWorld how long it took u to do uworld per day?

Will it be too time consuming? Is 1 hour enough for everything in a block? I want to use most of my time re reading books. Am i doing it wrong? I dun want uworld to consume too much time in a day. How u guys do about this?

Don't know of anyone revising 1 block of UWORLD in 1 hour as yet buddy....unless you are just going to read educational objective at the end or unless you are so very thorough with your work that you can speed read and understand with that speed!!
Anyway what an average person like me will take is about 4 hours to review 1 block carefully even though it is my second read of USMLEWORLD.

Hope this helps and good luck !!

I agree - there's no way to review a block in one hour.

At the start you can do one block and review it in almost the whole day, eventually you should be able to do three blocks/day in about 12 hours. At least that's my thoughts...

I wish I could finish a block in even 8 hours!! Reading between the options gets so distracting at times... Having to separate what u know n what u don't & jotting that down in FA..

Please advise me how to go through it quick.. When I try to do that I just bring frustration & misunderstanding & a feeling of incompleteness to myself.

Let uworld explanations have as much time as it takes , learn them , absorb the concepts , make notes and annotate new concepts in FA. Trust me its worth it. I used to do a block in a day or day and a half . Took me more than 2 months to do uworld because i did it in such detail , time worth spent.

I did it 1.5 times. The most important resource for step 1 in my opinion. NEVER RUSH WITH EXPLANATIONS

I can't thank you enough truepassion20 & medicalbiology!!! It was getting really frustrating choosing between speeding up & absorbing completely; but I'm really clear on what to do now.

Bdw truepassion20, it's an amazing job you are doing.. Coming back and helping us out which one rarely does after getting over with step 1 except for the admins. Thank you from all of us.

UW is a great source of information.

I did it almost twice. The first time I did it faster because I wasn't reading the whole explanation of the Qs that I was getting right, but the second time I read the Qs with my SP - and we were reading the entire thing.
It took us about 2.5 hrs for block (depending on the block).

To me it was worth it, you can learn so much from it!

If you feel you don't have enough time, do at least the subjects where you're weakest.

Good luck!

UW explanations are the best !! there is no book comparable to them for step 1 , even if u are taking 4-5 hrs for one blok, dont feel bad, UW worth every penny and every second. read or write the full explanation, not just the educational objective summary in the end..

read explanations of the questions you did right, as well..

Have a question? Only have 20 days left till my exam, and my uworld subscription expired... I thought i wouldnt lose my marked questions when it expired, and was planning on doing them last 3 weeks b4 the exam + FA review which has all uworld notes and some kaplan notes, now i have to get a new subscription and redo the 2200 questions again... do you think i should redo the 2200 questions again as a review, doesnt seem like i have enough time.

if you made some notes of those topics then they would serve as a good review . But if you really think it would help if u revised those marked topics then i think you should do timed tutor mode and keep doing questions quickly n skipping all those who explanations you know . but keep revising first aid
