Default biochem -gene

hi fellow steppers,
this question may be stupid but anyways i just thought someone could clear it ...every cell has all the set of chromosomes right but the proteins present in each organ differs ie the protein that is present in liver may not be present in heart or other organs my doubt there any process which inactivates gene so that proteins are specific to the tissues ...

In part, nature has taken the help of "Transcription Factors" already present or activated in only specific tissues..

Have a look at TFs regulating expression of specific genes in brain!!
