Default Quick Q - aspiration of foreign body

Looking for some advice on this scenario I have comes across:

"A patient is undergoing extraction of a molar tooth under GA and the anaesthetist is monitoring the patientís condition using a pulse oximeter. What are the physiological consequences of aspiration of the extracted molar, leading to complete obstruction of the right main bronchus."
So far I have thought about:

Anaesthesia - reduced gag reflex, cough impaired so aspired easier.
VQ mismatch - complete obstruction of right bronchus leads to VQ mismatch (approaching zero) and subsequent shunting.

Would appreciate any input.
