i havent taken my date yet but planning for mid-end april..
depends on what u ve studied but uworld is more like a tutorial.so if u read the explanations well u will actually end up revising quite a lot..i wasted time going over text over n over again...n realised there s no point. just do more n more questions with explanations.
you can fix no. of pages/day of FA for revision thats what i m doing

Haven't taken a date yet but plan to give it on Monday, 15th April, God Willing.

Doing UWorld, trying to do 2 blocks a day and go up to 3-4 blocks a day so I can review UWorld once more. Going good... but I need to work on Anatomy, Behavior and Pharm. Also reviewing Kaplan LN alongside and First Aid. Yes, it seems like a lot to do each day but I study better this way! And I don't do all of it... but I try to do as much as I can.

Taking the exam in April too.. Not yet completed 1st round either

Each person's different, I just can't revise the same book over and over again. I tend to read it once as thoroughly as possible no matter how long it takes, and then focus on questions related to the subject. It works for me, other's tend to give a quick read first and then repeat the whole thing or sections they find difficult. There's no one way that works for everyone.

At the end of the day, the key is to make sure you've covered all the topics as best as u can, and done plenty of questions. And once you reach the desired score on the NBMEs, or the best you can do, then simply go for it.

All the best guys

Good luck with it! for path, I didn't do Goljan and glad I didn't... Spent more time with Kaplan path + q bank path + UWorld and FA. It's about retaining a small bit of key info than too many facts in Goljan... Spin my mind...but that's just me, it might work for you.

Do it subject wise, if you can, three blocks a day, times tutor and take it as a learning tool. Revise whatever notes/FA you have you and don't look at the percentage. Then take an nbme to see where you are. Just my suggestion.

FA all the way!! Start it, you'll fall on love with it... once you do your FA with assessment like nbme or uwsa, you'll know if you're ready.

I plan to do two full reads in march and a final crash read with FA in the last 10 days, God Willing. 50% UWorld left, want to finish it in about 8 days so I can revise. Also want to do Kaplan qbank again... Basically tie down any lose ends. These 6 weeks are a "make it or break it" opportunity so want to put in all I can.

Note to myself first and then everyone: don't be discouraged when reading others' progress... There are so many factors involved and you cannot judge your own prep based on reading about someone else's 80% in UWorld or 3 reads of FA etc etc Just stick to your plan and don't undervalue your own brains, talent and hardwork... And above all, have faith... you may surprise yourself!

Guys, I am also planning on taking the exam in late april.

Does anyone know what kind of physiology or pathophysiology questions come in the real exam? Are they difficult/same as/easier than the uworld questions? I feel I am really lagging behind on the phys and pathophys.

Just started uworld few days ago, doing one block per day, timed. Not in tutor mode. When should I take the UWSA and NBME's?

My exam is april 25. Hopefully i'll be ready by then

Right now doing Uworld and FA and DIT notes.

DID nbme 6 last week got 150/200 x 1.45 = 217 offline but the NBME score i got was 420 - 203.

Did Nbme 13 about a month ago for 145/200= also got a 420 - 203

the curve is weird i guess.

Hopefully i can improve up to 230 by then.

Default long post.. apologies but thats what my confusion is...longggg

i completed my first read of kaplan and goljan.. and i took quite a long time...
anyways past is gone n irreparable
so what i am facing now is that i start at first aid and i end up on kaplan and wanting to jot everything down into first aid,not to mention that my progress is really slow.and at the finish of the day,all i have done is that i have prepared good notes but i dont remember anything... i havent started uworld yet as i think it will be too much on my plate .. ( i will have to note all that down as well)
can u (anyone or everyone) tell me how do u start second read?
i want to go through first aid along with kaplan n then jump to uworld...
is there a way.. like do kaplan n then do first aid?or do specific subject first?
i am going from first page to last page right now.that means essentially system wise.. help....
edit-i need to go to kaplan as firstaid is like the outline.... for the concept, kaplan is needed as cramming fa wont help n stay till 3 months...

hi.. i am going through exactly what you... will jus give u a piece of my mind and see if it works.. like divide ur day into two halfs....... like i first finished behavioural fully and started u world.. in the morning i do BS in u WORLD and since i am already good at it i am able to do the laearning part oof it easier and in the evening i do micro and as behavioural is dne i do micro u wrld in the morning and start the next upcoming subject in the evning. in this way we are more conf with doing u world and can do stuff twice.. seems to work. think about it!!

Default Count me in!

hey guys, i'd like to join this thread too. My exam is scheduled for 25th april! thats hardly any time! i need company to check in on my progress.
so far, i have finished the material and one read of first aid, and also kaplan qbank online. just started uworld but unable to manage doing fa alongside. just the review of the tests takes up all my time! i really want to be able to give atleast 3 more readings to first aid...so that every concept can stay embedded. can you help me manage my time with both uworld and fa?
i took the uwsa 1 the other day and scored 204. i dont know what to make of it., so your opinion on that too please.

I'm planning to give mine on 23rd April... let's see... original plan was for 15th April but thought I'd push it back a week to strengthen certain areas.

Currently doing UWorld (2-3 blocks a day, subject-wise, timed) in the morning, Kaplan path + FA (one system each day) in the afternoon and some additional Kaplan reading alongside like Pharm, Embryo charts etc. Next three days, going to review Kaplan Anatomy, then Physio in another four days, then Biochem and so on. Yeah, I know it sounds like a lot to do each day but I study better under pressure i.e. in the last few weeks before an exam so having to make up weak areas now. In all this, also planning to squeeze in a quick read of Goljan transcripts and 100-page High Yield facts. During tea breaks, I read Conrad Fischer's very interesting ethics book.

Almost done with UWorld once and then going to go through Kaplan Qbooks and then return to UWorld before final 8-day revision.

Want to do NBMEs, one next week hopefully.

I just logged in to NBME... there is no form 15 that I can see. The newest there is 13.

My plan is similar. Though execution relatively not so much.
I am doing uworld first time.and it's taking.awfully long...there is stuff to be annotated in fa, and then reading fa as well. I am willing to go the extra mile and put in efforts sure...but just not having enough time! I was sure I needed Kaplan and goljan review again. But dont think I can manage to.fit it in. How many readings of fa have you already given? And did you take any assessment tests?

NO its not. and you'll never know where you are and what you need to improve on until you do an NBME.

SO i say Go for it. show your weakness and work at it till the end.
