Calculator USMLE Consult Score Correlation

hey guys....need help...
wt should be the average score in consult to get 99....in their score relater they says 66% correlate with 248....but i find some Qs are straight forward...n some really difficult one..(almost new things that i hv not read in Kaplan n Goljan)..ratio of simpler n difficult is about 7:2 i think...

well any one who hv tried this bank...let me know wt should be the "good" score...as getting 66% in their bank is not a tough job...n I don't think their bank is that much difficult that 66% will get u 248....!!

at the start I was scoring high...but my score is on downward slope...don't know y....

Remember that the actual exam will contain easy, medium, difficult, and impossible questions. So a qbank having easy questions in addition to difficult one is realistic. So may be their correlation is correct.

Default Awesome

I've done Consult scorrelator before my exam. It predicted my score minus 10 points so if it's telling 248 then you should expect 238 which is still awesome

i hv done approx 1000 Qs..but score is stand still...not going up....

m scoring 76%...with a percentile rank of 79%...that means 21% of users r scoring above 76%...

well i want to be 99er...is it necessary to be on 99 percentile rank in Q bank also......or the person who r on high percentile rank may be using practice mode so that u can change and correct ur ans...

Info The 2-digit score is not a percentile

The percentile rank has nothing to do with your two-digit USMLE score.
For several reasons:
First, the two-digit USMLE score is not a percentile, there's much more than 25% passing the exam nowadays. Read more about this
Second, as you pointed out the qbank percentile is certainly erroneous because many people do practice and untimed and non-random and repeated times ...etc Read more

Arrow Results?

Hi Khushboo,

I am currently using USMLE Consult and wanted to know from your experience...how is it compare to the actual exam (I am assuming you already took the actual exam...if not please let me know)? Also, what did you end up scoring on USMLE Consult and what did it predict as your score? What was your Real exam score (if you don't mind me asking)? I just want to find out if Consult is any good as a qbank and also as a score predictor!

Hi noone...well i was scoring around 76% on consult which correlates >260 n my actual score is 258/99...hmm..compare to actual exam i would say it does not include all areas that r being asked...after completing step 1 i felt like kaplan qbank n uw r more then enough...so y to waste time in doing consult..!!!.i did only 1000qs from consult which took around 1mnth...it is really time consuming...so according to me consult comes on no.3 after uw n kaplan....hope this will help u...best of luck
