Default just wrote my exam today--march 5 2013

hey guys!!

i just wrote my exam for the second time, today...i failed brutally the first time, my nbme scored reflected upon that but i dont know what made me write it.

anyways today wasnt to bad, i mean i knew somethings, somethings i guessed on and something were like WTF!...there were alot of like "researchers have conducted a study blah blah..."

I did nbme 6 in jan 2013 for 340
then i studied more did nbme 13 (newest one) got 410/200

i then booked my exam and wrote it....now i guess im freaking out coz i dont know if that was a good idea,,i mean i based my exam on my "passing" nbme score.

can anyone please tell me if what i did was right....it was indeed a very hard exam so i just need some re-assurance to correlate my nbme mark with my step

please help!!!!

First of all, congratulations on finishing the exam! It's done and over with for now and you should relax and give yourself a break!

I may not have the answers you are looking for because I have not attempted the step 1 yet, though my date is close however I think the best predictor of whether you should write your step are the NBMEs so if you were passing those/getting close to the score you want then you should be fine! Those are the strongest predictors of how you will perform on the exam.

For now smileeee, go out with your friends, watch some tv, have fun!!! Stop stressing it will do you no good. Everyone comes out of the exam frazzled and it is normal, but stressing out will not do you any good. Be proud of your accomplishment
