Default Just took it

I just took NBME form 15
got 28 incorrect
=93%
a raw score of 580 which corresponds to a 240

I also took the free FRED test that USMLE gives you for download a week prior. I got a 85% correct on that.

overall I would say that this nbme had a lot of strange images that I was confused about. It felt much easier that form 11..

overall, there was nothing that wasnt in first aid

Just took it. 252, 19 incorrect. Some pretty straightforward questions, some directly from UW (atleast 4-5), and some were totally WTFFFF!!!

This was my first official NBME, so can't compare it with others. I took NBME 3 offline, but that was easy, and quite old..so not a good comparison.

Overall, some questions were quite irritating. Its not the concept that was hard, but the way they were asking the questions that drove me nuts, like really using some phrases, now and then, that you have to reread twice to understand.

Overall, difficulty is almost like UW, a bit harder in 1 or 2 aspects. A good test of your knowledge. Lots of microbio questions (and I messed up Gram +/-, so know them well), a few stats question, a straightforward question for dosage calculation. A really messed up question about biostats, and genetics (seriously, it was like a table with 30 numbers, and u have to interpret the gene analysis from it!)

That's a great score Smashingdude! Let's say you wanted to further improve your already excellent score, how would you study? I'm sort of in the same boat as you, a few points lower, but the questions I did miss, I'm not sure how I could get those right.

Lolz, cotdt, I am wondering the same thing.

Exam on 29th of may, Need advise on how to proceed

I really dont know what to do now. I think, I'll simulate the real exam by taking UWSA2 and an NBME offline or the free questions from NBME, and see how that goes. Or I'll take one more NBME. I am afraid to take another NBME, since that may demoralize me. Dont know yet...

Other than that, I am planning to revise some graphs/tables especially of micro. I HATE revising FA, since its too boring, and takes too much time. But its the best source we have, so I'll be fast reading some pages of it.

Review all the questions of UW for biostats/behavioural again.

I think the exam doesn't want you to know all the pinpoint details. I think now my knowledge is structured with all the fine details about a concept, but I have forgotten the more, simpler points. Many of my questions in NBME were too easy and I messed them up, while the hard questions, I got them right. I think I need to stop skimming into details, and look at the bigger picture.

Also, my UWorld notes(which are like 400 pages!!!). I am thinking to review Goljan 36 pages, but seriously I dont know if its useful(its from 2001!!!)

Other than that, I am as stuck as you are...
