Warning! HELp HELp HElp!!!!

hello everyone,
I know this is usmle forums and positing the following query here may be not be appropriate, but a little help from you guys can help me.

I am non-Indian and have done my MBBS from medical college in my country. Now, I want to practice medicine in India and want to get registered there as a doctor. what is the procedure for foreign medical students to get registered there??
And IF I clear all usmle exams and then come India, what will be the procedure then?? do I have to give another exam for India, or with USMLE I can practice in India??

As many of the members of this forum are from India so I thought I can get help from here because I don't know how to go through this procedure on web. if any one know the source of this information, please tell me.

Hi Komal,

Non-Indian or Indian national who gets the MBBS degree from countries other than India and wants to practice medicine with MBBS degree or equivalent degree need to clear MCI exam and get a registration no.
When you know what you want, and you want it badly enough, you'll find a way to get it!!

i am in the same position as you. I did my MBBS from outside india. anyway,

you gotta clear FMGE Screening exam which you can take twice every year. March and September.

its a 300 score MCQ exam and you just need 150 to clear.

But are you holding a n INdian passport or not? If not then you don't need to clear this test but need to contact MCI with you relevant documents and a licence of your own country or any other. They will guide you through all the procedures.

PS, You really need to waste a lot of time around MCI as these guys take long time to process or even answer. If you just want to work in some private hospitals, better first get an appointment letter and then the respective hospital will guide you to all the procedures. It should not be difficult but definitely will take a long time.
Arise! Awake! And stop not, Till the goal is reached!! SV
