Unhappy Step 1 Pharmacology HELP!!

Hey guys, I'm an IMG and am in the process of tackling the beast... that being said, I'm actually getting destroyed by the Pharmacology portion of my review.

I am currently using Kaplan LN and Videos. I figured this would be the easiest way to review pharmac.

However, after just getting through the Cardiac and Renal section, I feel as though I really don't know anything and am struggling to answer the Kaplan Q bank questions...

I'm looking for ANY suggestions or methodologies that have helped others struggling with Pharmacology review and would facilitate me getting through Pharmac as easy as I got through Physio and Patho (which i found much more understandable and bearable).

Thanks in advance for your help!

I am pretty confident in my Physiology. It's the Cardic Patho and Pharmacology specifically that is really boggling my mind. I've just re-read the Kaplan LN for cardiac pharmac and I still feel like a f*&(%$g idiot....

Do you think my frustration with Pharmac stems from my lack of recent Biochem review?

btw, Thanks for the reply bigbossguy

Pharm is my weakest subject. I bought Kiss Pharm the other day and just started. Looks good so far; it will supplement the Kaplan Pharm that I'm doing.

Don't worry, you're normal! This happened to me too, even though Pharm was one of my favorites in med school. I think it's because of the way it's given in KLN Pharm. I didn't like this book ever... so I tried to do more of it from FA and then only supplement a little with KLN Pharm. My Qbank improved and so did UWorld. Still doing it... and it seems to be working. Exam next month, let's see!

Default Pharmacology review!

Just wanted to give everyone a head up to a discovery I just made the other day. KISS Pharm online review series. I would recommend this to anyone taking any of the USMLE exams or any other board exams. I am currently studying for step 2 and wanted a quick review of pharmacology. I was pleasantly surprised by the simplicity of this online review. The lecturer presents the material in a concise yet thorough manner that makes remembering all the details of pharmacology very simple and easy to understand. I believe there are a few sample videos provided at their website.
