Default Step 3 Tutor

Dr.Malik was my tutor for USMLE Step 3. After taking other popular courses for Step 1 and Step 2, I decided to try something different for Step 3.
I must say, it was the best investment I've made. He charges only $40 per hour and will really spend as much time with you as possible so you can not only pass Step 3 but excel in it. He provides excellent medical knowledge, the most up-to-date materials, provides personalized tutoring and motivates you everyday.
My Step 3 score was better than Step1 and Step2 scores.
I highly recommend him. I wish I had him as a tutor for Step 1 and 2.

Or you can go to the 'bay and have a plethora of first class tutors to choose from instead of paying 6 grand to some unknown IMG.

i see the scammers are getting lazy. if you want to be more convincing, at least post more frequently, pretend your a student/grad preparing for the step 1, and then post here. do you're reasearch too. this is a step 1 forum, so what a coincidence that you have already taken your step 3, yet you hang around here. what a joke.

this has scam written all over it. go do some legit work, and quit stealing money off of vulnerable people who actually need help, and not get conned by people like you. good day.

Not worth it. Tried for Step 2 CK and got ripped about 2000 USD (crazy expensive, 250/hr). Classmate tried and supposedly had 'success,' I'm questioning that. Anyway, he gives an initial 'free consultation,' which was interesting, but not very helpful with regard to relevant material. He gives you a lot of 'resources' (links to online materials eg wikipedia articles etc), but you can honestly just google this yourself- AND find better resources His approach to teaching is going through the question together with you and basically helping you improve test-taking skills if that's your weakness. But he doesn't really seem to know what's high yield on the test. Gave me a bunch of links to memorize when I was already pressed for time. Furthermore, didn't seem to account for that lack of time and kept going off tangent, especially the first session.

He wanted to do 6 ish hour sessions per day, straight. I was willing to go through 3 hour chunks, but stopped after a brief period. I took a shelf where I was weak and got maybe a 1-2 question improvement from a previous. Likely a fluke. But overall, not very helpful tutor, unstructured, and seems to be out there to squeeze out all your money.

I've also used another tutoring service offered online- medschooltutors. Chris Carruba's awesome. Honored family medicine shelf at the end of the year thanks to Chris. I did pretty well on peds and ob/gyn on my own. Fam med was just a mess, from what I'd heard, so that's why I jumped on the tutoring train. A mess in that there was no single resource in which to use on the rotation. Helped me figure out resources AND prioritize use. That was exactly what I needed. Knows his stuff, knows what's high yield. I'm not sure about the rest of the tutors at medschooltutors and for the other subjects, but Chris Carruba definitely knows what he's doing and talking about. Also 250/hr, but I only did a few hours there. My budget can only handle so much.

I know we're all students. Just trying to help out anyone else who struggling, but needs guidance. Take care and good luck.

- C

Never heard of him before but that doesn't mean he isn't a good tutor. I'd continue asking around
