Correct answer is D 14 hrs

The correct answer is 14 hours.

The elimination of half life is 8 hrs. 500mg or 0.5g of the drug will remain in the body 8 hrs after a dose of 1g. The total duration of effective must 8 + 6 = 14 hrs.
