Unhappy 10 days before exam !!!!

Hi All,
My test is exactly in 10 days & I've got mixed feelings about it but I know at least I'm happy that it's almost over.
here's what I've done so far in order

  • Finished FA almost twice.
  • watched almost all kaplan videos once
  • read some of the kaplan notes once
  • a lot of youtube videos ( very helpful )
  • finished 89% of kaplan qbank ( untimed-subjects ) used it as a learning tool & my average was 57% correct
  • took uwsa 1 before starting uw & got 224 ( was happy but not for long )
  • started doing uw online ( timed - random ) ,started off with scoring in the low 50s & that shocked me to my core ,then towards the end my average ranged from 63-67 & one time got 75% I have only 10 blocks left; My total average so far is 58% ( not sure if the remaining 10 blocks would make a difference).
  • THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS THAT I TOOK EXTENSIVE NOTES FROM KAPLAN QBANK & UW OF THE QUESTIONS THAT I DIDN'T KNOW + THE QUESTIONS I KNEW AS WELL & SO FAR ENDED UP WITH 400 PAGES OF HANDWRITTEN NOTES ( IT'S LIKE A BOOK NOW )
  • Took NBME 15 in the middle of uw & was shocked got 204 ( but it was hard ).
Now , I have only 10 days left & really need to revise everything + doing the remaining uw blocks + uwsa 2 + 1 OR 2 NBMES

what do you guys think , do I read my 400 pages notes & that would be enough , or FA is a must ;cause I don't think I can read FA in 10 days.

& How am I looking ???? did I Go wrong at any point during my frustrating prep ?!

Note: postponing is not an option for me. ANY INPUT IS APPRECIATED.:sorry:

THANK YOU

Relax , well first dont knw what score u aim for ., but generaly will say seems u have many things want to do in 10 days , and only preference and good plan will help u in ths time . these 10 days u need knowledge solidification and remind on what u dont remember well . well , DO THIS , READ YOUR FA (not all 500 pages ) but just those sections u think is kinda of forgotten stuffs (u know yarself better , and u know these pages ) + YOUR OWN TAKEN NOTES ( these always are easy to read and fast , if u real write them in good summary ) . then go for exam .

DONT DO :
Overload yar brain with unnecessary hardcore details (e.g , to be asked in exam that crohn disease cause fistula or has transmural inflamation is most likely than question how NOD2 gene mutation cause Crohn disease ) i gues u get me what i mean . good luck . also isnt necessary do UWSA2 . so long as u have done wth NBME 15 . u may take NBME 13 . then go for exam .

bo positive , u can do it and get yar score . put yar basic understandoing of FA stuffs well in yar brain in these 10 days ( revise things like embroyology derivation , claw hands types , distal or proximal lesion , formulas of physiology and Biostat ) anti cance drugs ( which phase they work ) thiose kind of stuffs that need facts and not understandning . exam is doable , these people ask general basic knowledge mostly than crazy hardcore questions (though some exist , but guess and go on ) . u can get yar aimed score . stay calm and focus in these 10 days , and be calm in exam day . dont rush to guess answer before thnkng , and dont thnnk much for what u sure dont know . again deal with question that u fast know answer , and come back later to crazy questions . also NOT EVERY QUESTION THAT START WITH A RESEARCHER WAS DOING BLAH BLAH BLAH ... then ask u something are NOT ALL WTF questions , some of them are just penicillin MOA or just DNA POLYMEARSE , so dont get sweating when u see research question , try read first and looK for given ans options , can help u deduce wat they are trying ask . good luck . EXAM IS DOABLE

Best of luck buddy

I think to concentrate more on FA would be beneficial and revise forgetables

List of Forgettables - What you need to review few days before the exam

No not yet, planning on doing the other UWSA & 1 or 2 nbmes depending on how the first on goes, but since I took one nbme & uwsa 1 before any revision & before uw I will only do nbme once I'm done or almost done revising to know exactly where I am.
where is your test?

My test is in Cali.....I have done all nbme's online and UWSA1 so I will do UWSA 2 and nbme 15 on the same day....I would suggest to do at least 2 nbmes b/c from I have read they may repeat questions on the real thing...also did you take the free 150 at the test center?

I also felt like nbme 12 and UWSA 1 were very difficult...I had heard that 13 was harder then 12 but for me 12 killed me

You know what , I will , Actually my notes are like a book that I don't even need to read FA again.
the only problem is , I cursed myself a lot in writing when I realize that I shouldn't have gotten an answer wrong ,lol

If you have read FA twice - you are in a good position already

Read FA a third time. You will be surprised how fast you can do it now. In my third revision of FA - i finished the whole thing cover to cover in 6 days. Think of yourself as a FA ninja!

Focus on consolidating what you already know.

Keep doing Uworld questions till the last day. At least one block a day to keep yourself in the habit of doing questions.

Have you done a full day 8 hour simulation at home? If not, then consider doing that using any two assessment forms in succession. Apart from that dont spend time on doing assessments at this stage.

Don't study after 4pm on the day before the exam.

UWorld self assessment form 1 was closest to my actual score. I always scored lower on NBMEs. Your prep sounds fine, use your last 10 days effectively, you should be able to get your target score.

All the best!

I did 12 , 13 and 7

People say 7. For me my score on 7 was 10 points less than the real exam.

My real score was closest to uworld self assessment form 1
