Goljan I'm just now realizing how amazing Goljan's Rapid Review is!

I guess the appreciation comes after completing a thorough review of Physiology and Biochem. Was browsing through the Respiratory section of Rapid Review today, really nicely organized!

at first, it seems like daunting task to to through it all. but i broke it down into individual sections, and its really not that bad as it seems!

lots of info, but i have to admit, it really is nicely organized. and i can tell that it is also helpful for step 2 aswell!

i started with the audio. and then i moved onto the book itself. do not get caught up in trying to memorize all the bullet points. it can be overwhelming that way.

just use your highlighter, to highlight the topic headlines, that way you can group everything visually, because without highlighting the main topics in each chapter, everything seems to blend in together. this helps break things down.

also, i literally tore out chapters from the book, and then used a stapler to create mini pages that i can flip through (for each chapter). when doing it this way, you again break things down. start from the beginning, because the book will sometimes recall things from earlier chapters.

just read a long, and understand the CONCEPTS. again, don't try to memorize everything. focus on concepts - the big picture. when u don't understand something, use another source to fill in your knowledge gaps. but then always return to the RR, to continue.

love this book! at first, hated it, but now liking it.

If you have enough time .....i would suggest listening to audio of goljan then giving a read of it ....then going through the audio once again but now with the notes infront .....and then watching pathoma videos at 1.5x to seal up the topic
