Don't be scared if u studying full time ie not working then 8 to 12 hrs would be fine. It depends on how long u want to study for the exams. Some peg for themselves a week for each book plus vedios. Obviously it means they hv to study it really fast. And u agree they just grab the concept not minute details.
The high yield minute details would pop up in questions. In fact u can't recall all the minute details u waste ur time on. Trust me! I peg for myself two weeks per book except Goljan path becos i'm working and my study duration is long. It's said IMG use 6-9 months. So sit down, plan ur schedule and strategize.
Gud luck

Correct Answer Thank you! ill carry on with your suggestion.

Thanks! youre right, probably im way too detailed about my studying, ill carry on with your suggestion reading comprehending the chapter and grasp on to what are the most important things and THOSE learn them by memory.

also, when do you recommend doing questions? i have FIRST AID Q AND A and kaplan qbook of 2008 and i was planning on doing the questions on each subject after i finish studying the whole subject, would you recommend that or doing the questions at the end of EVERYTHIng better with kaplan qbank and uworld?

any other suggestions are welcome!

Yea. Most poeple recommend doing qbank s after first read of primary source of material eg Kaplan. But for the Kaplan qbook and FA q& a u can do them after each subject that is what Am doing now. Then subscribe to online qbank s like uworld and Kaplan after 1st read of Kaplan notes and FA.
I am using the 2004 Kaplan qbook.
