Post NBME Score Correlation (Under or Over) Predict

I know this might have been asked a few times before, but I couldnt find it on the forums with the search feature.

I wanted to know how well does the NBME's correlate with the STEP1. Is there a chance that the predicted score the NBME is giving is underestimated? Usually I read that the NBME score overestimates your real score, but are there people that had it the other way round?

Im asking this because I have done NBME 13 and 11 and I get around 80-85% of correct questions, and my estimated score is around 228. I find this very bothering, because I have also been doing FA Rx simulations (much longer practice sessions than the 4 hour NBME) and I get around 70-75% correct answers (much lower than what I get at the NBMEs, maybe because its a longer test or some questions are harder or more WTF type of questions), and it gives me a predicted of 230-235.

So... even though Im scoring higher in the NBME, I get a lower predicted. What are your opinions on this? Is there someone out there that the NBME actually underestimated you, or is it highly unlikely that will happen? Having completed 2 NBME's and getting exactly the same score worries me a little, I feel like I reached my peak level, and according to NBME it is 228, and even more worried if that predicted is supposed to be overestimated.

My exam is in 42 days. Vote on the poll, and I would appreciate your opinions too.

I think the polls should be ................ step1 score correlation with the last nbme 7 days before the exam .......... there are many people who take it months before in that case it will surely predict lower than ur actual score

Cannot change the poll's choices. But I am looking for your NBME's average (that is why I asked for at least 2). Independently of the time before the exam, in general terms, how did it correlate.
