Question is it advisable to start uworld b4 finishing 1st read?

the topic says it all, i'm not yet done with my first read, but i'm running out of time and i really want to write this exam in October... in 5 months, so i was thinking of buying a 6 months subscription of UW, but is it too early? should start with uw questions now?

For me my basics very low so am reading Kaplan be4. Else I would be totally lost in uworld and definitely take like all my preparation period and instead of building basics I would be learning concepts randomly! So I would say if u are in my boat then lets sail through first read of Kaplan and FA and we would sail faster and better in uworld. Yes I also plan to write in October. Hook up am also in intital part of preparation! All the best.

Yeah good when in October are u taking the exams? They say u need minimum of 2 months for uworld. So it means try and finish first read by July ending. Don't wast too much time on subjects but try and get all concepts. Am working fulltime n studying.

it doesn't matter either way, as long as you learn what you need to learn. uworld is like 1200 pages worth of reading and includes most of the topics covered in first aid, plus much more.

U are right as well. It depends on the individual. There are many was of killing the cat but I think there s better or easer way to kill the cat and ths is wat he is asking for. I personally find it hard solving questions only to get them wrong and then revise answer. So I rather want to learn and apply what I know so when I get it wrong I can fill in the gap in my knowledge. Although several poepl have scored high only with questions but also several have score high with studying be4 questions but I like the later!

I'm aiming for 1st or 2nd week of october, i wouldnt want to extend it, just want to get over with the exam. I'm kind of ''rushing'' through things now, started 2 months ago and im hoping to be done with my 1st read by next month.
i'm currently in uni, close to exam session, so studying and studying

U can do it. And score high on ur exams max 2nd week oct. I am targeting October ending. Going a bit slow with first read but understanding concepts quite well. Which subjects have u finished?
